Sierra View is a Christian church rooted in the teachings of the bible. We affirm the Apostles’ Creed and the Nicene creed which unites us with historic Christianity. We also affirm the Westminster Confession of Faith and Catechisms as a summary of what scripture teaches on more specific points.
We seek to focus on the central teachings of Christianity and to uphold our distinctives in a way that is faithful to the scriptures and welcoming to anyone who seeks to know Jesus.
- We affirm one God as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
- We affirm Jesus as God the Son who took on humanity, lived a perfect life, and then died a sacrificial death to pay for the sins of all who believe, and then was raised from the dead and is now at the right hand of the Father.
- We affirm the presence of the Holy Spirit in the life of all who believe.
- We affirm that salvation is a free gift to all who repent of sin and believe in Jesus as Savior and Lord.
- We affirm the authority and inerrancy of the Old and New Testaments of the Bible. We believe that the Bible is the only source of personal and true knowledge of God.
- We affirm that Jesus will come again at the end of time to rule over a New Heavens and New Earth.
