We believe women play a vital role in the health of a local church, and therefore in the advancement of the kingdom of God. We are committed to equipping, connecting, and encouraging women from every station of life to know Christ personally, to grow in Christ daily, and to share the love of Christ faithfully. The foundation for this vital ministry is Scripture, which is why our women meet regularly for Bible study and fellowship.
The women of Sierra View gather on Thursday nights…
Summer (June 15 – August 17).
In the summer of 2017 we are studying “The Screwtape Letters” by C.S. Lewis. All women are welcome to join our study at any time. We chat & snack from 6:30-7:00 pm and study from 7:00-8:00 pm.
Throughout the year the women of Sierra View also gather for quarterly events where we seek to grow in our fellowship with one another and serve our community to show the Central Valley the love of Christ!
Every Wednesday at 6:30 am, the men gather for breakfast and fellowship, bible study, and discussion. Sometimes a book of the Bible is studied, other times they work through an important theological work such as J.I. Packer’s “Knowing God,” J.C. Ryle’s “Holiness,” Bunyan’s “Pilgrim’s Progress,” John Piper’s “Let the Nations Be Glad”, and several others.
The men meet at Huckleberry’s at 222 E Bullard Ave, on the corner of Bullard and Freeway 41. We hope to see you there bright and early!

SUNDAY EVENING PRAYER
At Sierra View, we believe in the importance and the power of prayer (Phil.4:6; 1st Thess.5:17; James 5:16). We meet every Sunday night in various members’ homes to pray with and for another (except the first Sunday of the month, when we have our “First Sunday Fellowship Meal”). Our time begins at 6:00 p.m. with a brief study of the Westminster Larger Catechism followed by an intimate time of prayer and praise to God for His work in our lives and the life of our church. Please join us for this special time of fellowship.
LAMP Theological Seminary is designed as an alternative to traditional seminary. The LAMP program is specially structured to allow anyone who feels called to ministry, or would like to learn more about God’s Word, to earn a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Divinity while serving in ministry, working in their career, raising a family, or whatever situation God has placed you. SVPC serves as the Local Learning Site for the Fresno area. This Spring we are offering “Hermeneutics”, which begins January 26th. The tuition cost for this class is $150 for credit students, $50 for auditors. This class will meet at the church on Thursday evenings from 7:00-8:00 p.m. If you are interested in enrolling in this course, please contact Pastor Sean (firstname.lastname@example.org).
