Welcome to Sierra View Presbyterian Church! We hope this site will help introduce ourselves and answer any questions you may have.
At SVPC, our chief desire is to exalt and enjoy God, to spread a passion for His grace in our world and our times, and to be renewed according to the Mercy of Christ as He is offered in the Gospel. We will be delighted to have you join us.
We are committed to four primary areas of ministry: Fellowship, Outreach, Discipleship and Church Planting. When we look at the earliest church in the New Testament, these are the areas they focused on, their main mission, so to speak, and the result was the blessing of God that turned the world upside down. We believe these ministries, together with the faithful proclamation of the Gospel, are the greatest means whereby the Christian church can meet today’s enormous challenges.
We are a fellowship of the Presbyterian Church in America. We hold to the system of doctrine known as Reformed Theology, and adhere to the Westminster Confession of Faith, together with the Larger and Shorter Catechisms, as our doctrinal standards. While we believe “The Confession” is a majestic and accurate summary of biblical theology, it’s important to maintain that the bible is the only infallible and inerrant Word of God. Consequently, we seek to submit all things to the authority of the Scriptures, through which we see Christ and can know God. May God be gracious to you as you draw near to Him, and find Him to be everlastingly Great.
