Core Values
By Brian • Feb 4th, 2008 • Category: About UsOur core values come from something called the “Puritan Quadrilateral.” Some have observed that much of the Puritans’ ministry fell into one of four primary categories, which we have both adopted and adapted.
- Evangelism (Pure Gospel). We believe in a free offer of the gospel to be proclaimed throughout the earth. We believe this offer consists of preaching Christ and Him crucified. We are committed to the Great Commission and therefore taking the message of the risen Messiah to the uttermost parts of the earth.
- Reformation (Personal Renewal). We believe the scriptures contain a clarion call to personal and corporate reformation (recovery of Truth) and revival (newness of life). Through our commitment to preaching and teaching reformed theology as expressed in the Westminster Standards we endeavor to help our people return to Biblical principles and paradigms that lead to a reformed world and life view.
- Holiness (Progressive Sanctification). We believe the scriptures call for people to “be holy even as I your God am holy.” We believe that personal holiness should be our passion because it bring glory to our Lord. Through our emphasis upon loving Christ and demonstrating His love for us by practicing godly living / ethics we endeavor to reflect the Glory of Christ in the world around us.
- Unity (Priority of Fellowship). Looking to the Trinity as our example, we strive to be a body of believers who work hand in hand with one another, who defer to others strengths, who seek fellowship, and who go to the Lord in prayer for each other.
