The Epic Narrative: Current Morning Sermon Series Through Exodus
By Brad • Jan 21st, 2008 • Category: Sierra View Presbyterian ChurchThe book of Exodus has rightly been described as “an epic narrative.” It tells the story of God’s goodness and faithfulness, of promises becoming reality. It tells of God’s fearful holiness, tender mercies and covenant love. In Exodus we also see our own inability to reach the standards of holiness that God requires of us. But there is something else that comes off these pages as well, because we also discern the shadow of Christ in this story of redemption. Thus, the Exodus is both an historic event and a paradigm of something much deeper, something eternal and salvific. We invite you each sunday morning to come and be brought into the narrative and a part of the great blessing of hearing from God through the preaching of His Word.
